In today’s SONAR sighting, analysts pointed to FreightWaves TRAC data, showcasing a spot rate of $2.74 a mile, the lowest rate per mile the lane has seen in over three months. The Phoenix market also has an outbound tender rejection rate of 8.87%, one of the lowest rejection rates in the country.

What does this mean for shippers? Push as much product out of this lane as possible. Also, with rates this low, carriers will be looking to contract freight out of Phoenix, so be sure to lock them into a rate before the market flips.
